Willis represents corporate and individual clients in a variety of legal fields including commercial and
consumer bankruptcy, creditor’s rights, real property disputes, landlord/tenant law, estate planning,
partnership disputes, commercial contractual issues, and legal entity formation. In addition to advising
businesses in corporate and transactional matters, Willis litigates civil matters of behalf of his clients in
both Mobile and Baldwin County Courts and before the United States District Court for the Southern
District of Alabama. His litigation practice extends beyond the final judgment of a case to both appellate
practice and post-judgment collection work.
Bankruptcy forms an integral part of Willis’ practice. He represents both creditors and debtors before
the United States Bankruptcy Court for the Southern District of Alabama in cases filed under Chapters 7,
11 and 13 of the Bankruptcy Code. A large portion of his bankruptcy practice involves appearing for
individual and corporate debtors in complex Chapter 11 bankruptcies. Outside of and prior to
bankruptcy filing, he advises his clients in regard to their debts and advocates on their behalf in debt
restructuring, loan workouts and settlement negotiations.
Willis originally hails from Montgomery, Alabama. After graduating from Spring Hill College in 2004 with
Bachelor of Arts degrees in both English and Theology he attended the University of Alabama School of
Law and received his Juris Doctor degree in 2007. He has been with the firm since 2007. Willis played in
rock bands since his high school days and still likes to spend his free time writing and recording music.
Having a strong belief in the mission and aims of Scouting, Willis serves as the Cubmaster for Fairhope’s
Cub Scout Pack 47, one of the largest Scouting units in the State of Alabama.
