Lawrence M. Wettermark received his undergraduate degree from the University of Notre Dame and his law degree from the University of Alabama. He has been practicing law for 39 years and is a senior partner. He was retained for 20 years as Mobile County Attorney and 8 years as Mobile City Attorney. He is licensed to practice in both Alabama and Mississippi.
Lawrence M. Wettermark has practiced at all levels of the state court system, in every federal district court in Alabama, the Fifth and Eleventh Circuit Courts of Appeals, and in the United States Supreme Court.
He has been involved in various economic development projects including Thyssen Steel, Airbus Engineering Center, IPSCO Steel, Austal Shipbuilding, International Shipholding, Berg Pipe, the Northrop Grumman/EADS Air Force Tanker development agreements, the EADS development agreement for the renewed Air Force Tanker Competition, the Safran Engineering Center, and the Airbus Final Assembly Line. He was selected by his peers to be included in The Best Lawyers in America in the field of economic development law for 2011, 2012, 2013, 2014, and 2015.
Both he and the firm have received the highest possible peer review rating (“AV”) in both legal ability and ethical standards by the Martindale-Hubbell Bar Register of Preeminent Lawyers.
He and his wife Nancy have two daughters, Elise and Sarah Boyce.
